《사라지는 반짝임에 대하여》는 

반짝이는 빙하의 아름다움, 그리고 이제는 사라져가는 존재들을 기록한 작업이다.
사진은 그들이 실재했음을 가장 분명하게 말해줄 수 있는 매체라 생각한다.

세 번의 여정 동안 직접 빙하 위를 밟고, 만지고, 안으로 들어갔을 때 눈앞의 거대한 풍경은 그저 영원할 것만 같았다.
하지만 밖으로 나온 뒤 마주한 붕괴의 장면과 울려 퍼지는 소리, 그리고 빠르게 사라지고 있다는 소식들은 그 안에서 느꼈던 감정과 너무나 달랐다. 

아름다움은 분명 존재하는데, 이미 작아지고 무너져가고 있다는 현실과 마주해야 했다.

아름다움의 영원함을 담고, 동시에 그 소멸을 겪는다.

사라지는 수많은 자연의 모습들, 지구에 실존하지만 우리의 삶과 멀리 떨어져 있어 무심해진 것들,
그리고 멀리 있다는 이유로 당연하게 여겨지는 존재들에 대해 이야기하고 싶다.

영원히 보존하고 바라보고 싶은 아름다움을 담아, 오래도록 마음속의 빛으로 자리 잡기를 바란다.

《About the Vanishing Glaciers》 is a project that records the beauty of shining glaciers and the things that are now disappearing. I believe photography is the best medium to prove that they truly existed.

During my three journeys, I walked on the glaciers, touched them, and went inside them. At those moments, the giant landscape felt like it would last forever. However, after coming back out, the scenes of collapsing ice, the loud crashing sounds, and the news of their rapid disappearance were so different from what I felt inside. I had to face the reality: while the beauty is clearly there, it is already shrinking and breaking down.

I capture the eternal beauty of these glaciers,

while at the same time, I witness them fading away.

I want to talk about the many parts of nature that are vanishing—things that exist on Earth but feel far from our daily lives, and things we take for granted just because they are distant.

I hope these images of beauty—which I want to keep and look at forever—will stay in your heart as a lasting light.
